  • Overview

    The New Media & Technology Consultant is responsible for the supporting the needs of the International Sales, Business Development, Corporate Development & Programming teams along with promoting and owning the technical relationships between Vubiquity's content and technology partners. This position requires up to 80% travel, and reports directly to the Head of New Media & Technology Consultant. 


    • Represent Vubiquity in technical discussions with prospective customers and business partners;
    • Represent Vubiquity at trade and technical events;
    • Work closely with sales, business development, corporate development, and programming teams executives as commercial deals and partnerships are negotiated;
    • Work closely with content engineering, service delivery and project management functions to transition customers from pre-sales to delivery phases;
    • Assist product team to define evolving technology and customer trends;
    • Assist Head of New Media & Technology with studio facing documentation;
    • Maintain a high level of understanding of emerging DRM, platforms, streaming & industry standards;
    • Maintain and evolve documentation for use with customers and business partners:
      • Technical Specs;
      • Workflows;
      • Timelines;
      • Case Studies of Best Practices.


    • Experience with working with IPTV/OTT/OVP solutions is highly desirable
    • Minimum 5 years’ of background in Cable Television and/or Telco video environments
    • Minimum of vocational or technical training in the television cable or broadcast field is required
    • Must have good presentation and communication skills
    • Must have the ability to learn and adapt in a continuously changing environment, must be able to gain a broad knowledge of, and subsequently explain, all of the technology in use at Vubiquity
    • Must be computer literate and familiar with MS Office based applications
    • Must be able to work closely with other departments effectively
    • Background in Video on Demand, Broadband Video and Content Management & Delivery Systems is an advantage
