  • Overview

    The BA is responsible for addressing business needs and determining solutions to business problems and/or opportunities that rely on proprietary or vendor-driven software applications, while ensuring alignment with Vubiquity’s strategic objectives. By leveraging existing knowledge of the business, including intimate knowledge of business systems/platforms/applications/tools and enterprise-wide processes, the BA will effectively capture and communicate requirements for internally driven efforts, contributing to the definition of Product Release schedules.  Within Product Releases, the BA is responsible for representing the collective input of all stakeholders. For efforts driven by the VU Product team, BA shall lend expertise to what Product has captured, and ultimately sign off on said Stories.  BA shall also be responsible for scoping and illustrating end-to-end workflows and/or operational processes as relates to a given project.  BA shall work in close conjunction with Project Managers, Program Managers, Product, Sales, Enterprise Architecture, and NETO.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess cost/benefit of effort; conduct “Lift” analysis:  efficiencies gained- headcount reduction, condensed process timelines and streamlined systems.
    • Have command of specific processes and/or assigned systems/components.
      • Consult with Enterprise Architecture and NETO teams for solutions’ architectural design sign-off.
      • Be aware of other interoperable tools and interfaces.
    • Act as primary system(s) specialist on assigned Product application(s).
    • Requirements Management.
      • Gather and prioritize requirements from a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
      • Communicate: Liaise with customers (Project Originators as well as all affected stakeholders) and Projects Managers/Scrum Masters, ensuring that solutions presented are accurately translated.
    • Models/Diagrams – illustration of systems, processes, organizational restructuring (if applicable).

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred.
    • BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience.
    • 4+ years of experience working as a Project Manager or Business Analyst preferred.
    • Technical writing skills - comprehension of Systems Engineering concepts.
    • Honed skills and knowledge developed elsewhere in the organization.
    • Leadership qualities, including meeting facilitation, time management, organizational skills, strategic planning, risk management, and ability to influence others.Ability to effectively operate within diverse and cross-functional groups.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including a qualitative and quantitative skill set.
    • Demonstrated success with working effectively with technical players.
    • Ability to accommodate change and adapt accordingly.
    • Excellent communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results.
    • Highly responsible and self-motivated, able to thrive in an energetic, fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
    • Team player who can build relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Ethical and proactive leader who can maximize the resources of a start-up environment.
