Overview

The Director, Affiliate Sales is responsible for sales and revenue generated at from all products and services in target accounts in the Asia market. The individual also identifies programming sales opportunities and grows distribution of Vubiquity licensed programming, identifies service solutions that solve Affiliate needs and facilitates development, project management and ultimately the sale of such services. The Director acts as the liaison with the Affiliate Operations department to ensure affiliate day-to-day operational needs are met.

Responsibilities

This is a new role and will lead Vubiquity's presence in the Asian market. The role demands an ability to work independently and remotely while executing a cross departmental plan as part of a multi disciplined team.

  • Sales/Negotiations for new products PPVC, TV Everywhere, Data, marketing and subscription Video on Demand movies
  • Negotiations for packages and services; including management of renewals
  • Growing net revenue from assigned accounts
  • Identifying new revenue generating opportunities within account
  • Coordinating with Vubiquity Operations to manage customer expectations; marketing, operational troubleshooting, billing, and other client needs
  • Sales of additional marketing activities aimed at driving revenue
  • Renews expiring agreements for net revenue growth

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Presenting and selling new programming, products & services to assigned accounts
  • Developing plans of action to achieve sales and revenue targets at assigned accounts
  • Negotiations as assigned accounts with assistance of VP or SVP as necessary
  • Seeing through negotiations to signed legal documents
  • Project managing engineering, operations, programming, marketing and legal departments as necessary to ensure assigned accounts are getting superior customer service
  • Traveling in territory to meet clients and attend industry functions and trade shows as needed

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in cable or Telco industry managing video service provider relationships in a sales capacity, specifically in digital services
  • Knowledge of Video on Demand and TV Everywhere systems and digital business ecosystems
  • Detailed knowledge of Asian video market trends and current relationships in relevant customr organisations to maintain that knowledge
  • Experience selling content required; should have experience selling a product that is technical in nature such as hardware, software, and/or services to service provider industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • 50% in region travel required
  • Experience with negotiating programming agreements with large multi-system operators or large distributors
  • Obtain strong presentation skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing travel and entertainment expenses according to budget
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks at once under deadlines
  • Organized and have the ability to project manage multiple departments
